Get Free Telehealth Tool for Behavioral Health Providers
A new telehealth tool is now available for behavioral health providers, free of charge. To help care for clients during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, OhioGuidestone and the Institute of Family & Community Impact are offering this tool at no cost. The Therapeutic Phone Tool equips providers with a wide array of mental health interventions for treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Designed by clinical fellow and intervention specialist Reinhild Boehme, they are easily accessible for telehealth care. Providers then can use these interventions to connect with and treat clients remotely, via video conferencing or phone calls.
“Providers must be able to serve their clients in all circumstances, especially those most at risk of toxic stress, anxiety and depression. We have a duty to continue our work, no matter the barriers we face,” said Dr. Ben Kearney, OhioGuidestone’s Chief Clinical Officer and the Institute’s senior fellow.
Every day, OhioGuidestone’s community-based therapists and mental health specialists work with clients and communities in high-stress environments. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we know stress and anxiety are elevated all around the world. Because of this, our clients need interventions that promote mental health more than ever.
It’s our mission, therefore, to help alleviate symptoms and reduce risks to mental health at this critical time. To that end, we want to give providers the tools necessary to do their work. We believe we’re all in this together, and we’ll all come out of this together.
