Our Joyful Together Study Is Open Again — This Time Virtually
Joyful Together® is back and better than ever.
Across the country this year, many people have had to cancel or delay their activities, whether personal or professional. Likewise, we had to put our research operations on hold here at OhioGuidestone and the Institute of Family & Community Impact. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we needed to suspend our studies for a while. But now, thanks to our brand new Research Portal, we are ready to open our Joyful Together study once again!
During the past few months of lockdown, remote work, and careful distancing, we started building this new platform. We wanted to keep giving local families tools to help children grow in joy and play–especially during a pandemic. So we shared some of our best activities for kids to do at home. We even celebrated playful dads with our first-ever #JoyAtHomeWithDad Week!
Now, we are ready to open up our research studies again–virtually this time.
This is exciting for us because our new format will allow families to participate remotely (and safely!). And they still will receive instructions and guidance on our joyful play activities by videoconferencing with study staff. Best of all, our Joyful Together games are every bit as meaningful during this time. We know families need to stay home and stay safe as much as possible. Our Joyful games are simple, easy, and can be done anywhere, any time!
